NEET UG 2023 Counselling update:
The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has shared the seat availability details for the second round of NEET UG 2023 Counselling. Aspiring MBBS students can view this information on the official MCC website, mcc.nic.in.
The MCC has published a PDF document containing the newly added seats for the second round on their official website. This round includes more than 500 additional seats. Additionally, the MCC has also posted a ‘clear vacancy’ list for the second round of NEET UG 2023 Counselling.
The process of choice filling for the second round of NEET UG 2023 Counselling is currently in progress. Candidates can refer to the list of available courses and seats and finalize their choices by August 15. Following this, the MCC will proceed with seat allotment and announce the outcomes on August 18.

In the meantime, Dr. Bharati Pravin Pawar, the Minister of State for the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, provided information in the Lok Sabha stating that there are a total of 704 medical colleges in the country. Among these, Tamil Nadu has the highest count with 74 medical colleges, followed by Karnataka with 70, and Uttar Pradesh with 68 medical colleges securing the second and third positions, respectively.
