Baldur’s Gate 3 Physical Release Set to Arrive This December
Baldur’s Gate 3′s much-anticipated physical release is on the horizon, marking a significant shift from its initial digital-only launch in August and September. The physical edition, however, is currently slated exclusively for Japan, leaving fans in other regions eagerly awaiting news of their own boxed copies.
The release date for the Japanese edition of Baldur’s Gate 3 is December 21 of this year, and it has sparked curiosity about whether it will include English voice lines alongside the Japanese localization. While the Japanese release had been previously confirmed, the recent announcement provided crucial details and a fresh trailer. Nevertheless, the question of whether players in other countries can expect a physical version remains unanswered.
Larian Studios’ wording suggests that the Japanese localization may be incorporated into existing copies of Baldur’s Gate 3. This implies that the differences between a digital copy purchased in the West and a physical copy acquired in Japan might be minimal, with the latter defaulting to Japanese. However, it’s important to note that this interpretation is speculative, and confirmation is needed before making any assumptions.
